Sunshine Photography is a Central Florida-based studio founded by Kelly Diaz, specializing in high-quality product, lifestyle, and automotive photography. With a journalism background and a deep commitment to storytelling, Kelly approaches every shoot with sincerity and intention—creating images that feel both personal and polished.
As Sunshine Photography grew, it needed a refreshed brand identity that could better reflect its evolving personality: dependable, knowledgeable, and personable. The new brand system needed to strike a balance between professional and warm—positioning the business as both creative and credible to its core audience of business owners and growing retail brands.
Our collaboration included developing a custom logo suite, defining a visual language rooted in sincerity and clarity, and establishing brand guidelines to support everything from website updates to event materials. This refreshed identity honors Sunshine Photography’s storytelling roots while giving the brand the polish and structure it needs to expand confidently into its next chapter.

Sunshine Photography had built a strong reputation for product, lifestyle, and automotive photography in Central Florida—but its existing brand identity no longer reflected the clarity, professionalism, and storytelling approach it had grown into.

To address these goals, I led a strategic brand identity refresh rooted in storytelling and trust—two of the client’s core differentiators. I focused on creating a solution that blended professionalism with warmth and clearly aligned with their personality traits of sincerity, dependability, and creativity.
1. Brand Strategy & Direction
Built the visual strategy around themes of light, authenticity, and partnership.
Used brand spectrum, moodboards, and discovery sessions to define tone, direction, and audience expectations.
Positioned the brand to reflect trustworthiness, curiosity, and genuine care—while appealing to both local business owners and retail brands.
2. Logo & Identity Design
Designed a primary logo that merges a pineapple (hospitality) and camera (service) to symbolize warmth and storytelling.
Developed secondary logos, icon, and alternative logos to support a variety of use cases.
Chose clean, humanist typography and a modern sans-serif for balance and approachability.
3. Visual System & Guidelines
Built a comprehensive brand style guide with color palette, logo usage, and typography.
Selected a vibrant palette with yellows, greens, and oranges to convey creativity, sincerity, and connection.
Delivered organized, scalable assets for print, web, and social use, with future-ready flexibility.
