Introduction
When I first began working with D’nelle, we were creating visuals to support Berry Interesting Productions’ existing brand. Those early projects gave us the chance to build trust and also revealed the limits of a system that, as she put it, “wasn’t really vibing” anymore.
At first, D’nelle admitted, it felt like a gut reaction — “I just don’t like this anymore.” But as we worked together, she realized the deeper impact: the brand wasn’t just uninspiring, it was holding BIPi back from attracting the right clients and presenting itself at the level of professionalism the team had grown into.
After 15 years in business, she was ready to step away from DIY fixes and invest in a cohesive brand identity that reflected BIPi’s wit and reliability, while giving her team the tools to move forward with confidence.
Challenge
Berry Interesting Productions, Inc. (affectionately dubbed BIPi) had a brand that no longer felt aligned with where D’nelle wanted to take her business. The raspberry logo and original palette carried recognition, but the system had drifted—visuals were inconsistent, the identity lacked cohesion, and it no longer reflected the professionalism or personality that defined the business.
Solution
Through research and close collaboration with D’nelle, I evolved BIPi’s raspberry mark into a modern, versatile logo system and built a cohesive identity around it.
The refresh balanced strategy with creativity: a vibrant yet grounded color palette, approachable sans-serif paired with refined serif typography, and clear guidelines to unify applications across platforms. I also developed custom service icons and directed brand photography to capture BIPi’s wit and reliability, giving the team a system that felt both intuitive and flexible.
